They are 3 new Acer projectors F7 series, bright for large environments

Not only portable and mobile devices PC: Acer announced, on the occasion of their next event @ acer held in New York a range of new projectors, belonging to F7 family, designed for installations in large environments for business users, the education world as well as for installations consumer. These may sound like a niche product for a company like Acer, which in the popular imagination is engaged in PC systems and mobile devices, but it is not: among other Acer is the third largest world manufacturer of projectors, as indicated in the PMA 2015Q4 Worldwide Projector Census.

The 3 new models differ between them for maximum resolution:

F7600 WUXGA resolution
F7500 Full HD resolution
F7200 resolution XGA
Of particular interest in the environment configuration flexibility: it is reported as models designed for very large rooms and therefore can be installed at distances from the screen, which may differ significantly. For this reason, Acer offers 5 different kinds of optical systems such as options, starting from a minimum projection distance of 0.8 meters up to 20 meters which maximum with the super long optical.

1. short Optics: 0.8 to 5.0 meters (2.7 to 16.4 feet)
2. semi-short Optics: 1-9 meters (3.3 to 29.6 feet)
3. Standard Optics: 1.5 to 7 meters (4.9 to 22.9 feet)
4. Long Optics: 2-20 meters (6.6 to 65.5 feet)
5. Optical super long: 3-20 meters (9.9 to 65.6 feet)

Among the remaining technical features include the high brightness, which reaches a maximum of 6,000 lumens so as to better adapt the installation of the projectors also in environments with strong illumination. The positioning of the lens to the center of the frame allows it to be moved both vertically and horizontally, so as to allow very different installation options up to 360 degrees of rotation while keeping the original format and size without distortion

These new projectors will be marketed in Italy starting from the third quarter of 2016, with prices starting at € 2,999.

Apple’s AI Push: Everything We Know About Apple Intelligence So Far

Apple’s WWDC 2025 confirmed what many suspected: Apple is finally making a serious leap into artificial intelligence. Dubbed “Apple Intelligence,” the suite of AI-powered tools, enhancements, and integrations marks the company’s biggest software evolution in a decade. But unlike competitors racing to plug AI into everything, Apple is taking a slower, more deliberate approach — one rooted in privacy, on-device processing, and ecosystem synergy. If you’re wondering what Apple Intelligence actually is, how it works, and what it means for your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you’re in the right place. This article breaks it all down.   What Is Apple Intelligence? Let’s get the terminology clear first. Apple Intelligence isn’t a product — it’s a platform. It’s not just a chatbot. It’s a system-wide integration of generative AI, machine learning, and personal context awareness, embedded across Apple’s OS platforms. Think of it as a foundational AI layer stitched into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and m...

The Silent Revolution of On-Device AI: Why the Cloud Is No Longer King

Introduction For years, artificial intelligence has meant one thing: the cloud. Whether you’re asking ChatGPT a question, editing a photo with AI tools, or getting recommendations on Netflix — those decisions happen on distant servers, not your device. But that’s changing. Thanks to major advances in silicon, model compression, and memory architecture, AI is quietly migrating from giant data centres to the palm of your hand. Your phone, your laptop, your smartwatch — all are becoming AI engines in their own right. It’s a shift that redefines not just how AI works, but who controls it, how private it is, and what it can do for you. This article explores the rise of on-device AI — how it works, why it matters, and why the cloud’s days as the centre of the AI universe might be numbered. What Is On-Device AI? On-device AI refers to machine learning models that run locally on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or edge device — without needing constant access to the cloud. In practi...
