Google and Microsoft: made peace. Stop all legal disputes

Google and Microsoft have more trouble to think about - one among so many, the cold reception given by the equity markets to their respective formalized quarterly financial statements in the past few hours - a good reason to decide to put an end to all litigation currently activated globally. The fight moves from the classrooms of market courts, by judges to the products and services developed by the two hi-tech giants. The decision was confirmed today at Re / Code of representatives of the two companies.

A spokesman for the Redmond said:

Microsoft has agreed to withdraw its complaints against Google, reflecting the change in our legal priorities

It is not lack of Google's response:

Our companies compete vigorously, but we want to carry on the competezione on the merits of our products, not in the legal processes

A culmination of Microsoft and Google taken no effort is made to resolve future disputes with a direct comparison and non-judicial procedures before activating new shares in courtrooms. The relaxation of relations between the two companies involved in the short distance of prosecution Google dominance formulated European antitrust authority, but, formally, there is no correlation between the two events. Google and Microsoft, in fact, confirmed that the cessation of hostilities was in for some time proud.

This is the second recent agreement aimed at eliminating judicial conflicts between the two companies announced in the last year. In October 2015, Google and Microsoft had decided to put an end to the counter-offensive in the field of patents. The new agreement has a wider scope of applications including not only judicial procedures implemented to establish the infringement of patents, but any legal action initiated by Microsoft against Google and worldwide vice versa.

This achievement is due to the more relaxed atmosphere created by Sundari Pichai and Satya Nadella, respectively CEO of Google and Microsoft, both because, as does Microsoft confirms, the legal battles moving on other fronts. Peace between two of the leading hi-tech industry players is undoubtedly useful to create further synergies. Microsoft has extended more often hands with Google (and other major competitor) carrying out a cross-platform policy whereby it has made available its products and its services for platforms other than the ones developed in person.

Apple’s AI Push: Everything We Know About Apple Intelligence So Far

Apple’s WWDC 2025 confirmed what many suspected: Apple is finally making a serious leap into artificial intelligence. Dubbed “Apple Intelligence,” the suite of AI-powered tools, enhancements, and integrations marks the company’s biggest software evolution in a decade. But unlike competitors racing to plug AI into everything, Apple is taking a slower, more deliberate approach — one rooted in privacy, on-device processing, and ecosystem synergy. If you’re wondering what Apple Intelligence actually is, how it works, and what it means for your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you’re in the right place. This article breaks it all down.   What Is Apple Intelligence? Let’s get the terminology clear first. Apple Intelligence isn’t a product — it’s a platform. It’s not just a chatbot. It’s a system-wide integration of generative AI, machine learning, and personal context awareness, embedded across Apple’s OS platforms. Think of it as a foundational AI layer stitched into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and m...

The Silent Revolution of On-Device AI: Why the Cloud Is No Longer King

Introduction For years, artificial intelligence has meant one thing: the cloud. Whether you’re asking ChatGPT a question, editing a photo with AI tools, or getting recommendations on Netflix — those decisions happen on distant servers, not your device. But that’s changing. Thanks to major advances in silicon, model compression, and memory architecture, AI is quietly migrating from giant data centres to the palm of your hand. Your phone, your laptop, your smartwatch — all are becoming AI engines in their own right. It’s a shift that redefines not just how AI works, but who controls it, how private it is, and what it can do for you. This article explores the rise of on-device AI — how it works, why it matters, and why the cloud’s days as the centre of the AI universe might be numbered. What Is On-Device AI? On-device AI refers to machine learning models that run locally on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or edge device — without needing constant access to the cloud. In practi...
