Lian-Li PC-case raises the desks, the new model is a standing desk

When the desk becomes, itself, the case that houses the components of the PC, the name of Lian-Li readily comes to mind. The well-known manufacturer of PC cases, in fact, for several years has been conducting a project to thereby maximizing the space, without sacrificing power and performance that only the fixed PC may offer.

The desks-houses line PC Lian Li has recently expanded with the arrival of a new model, DK-04, which has a major difference compared to previous hybrid desks Lian Lin: can be adjusted in height using a motor electronic control that makes it essentially a standing desk, or a location that can also be used free standing. It starts from a minimum height of 67.5 cm floor and you get to the maximum of 116 cm. Refined, also, the design characterized by the bottom tapered.

Who does not know the background-Lian Lin models it should be immediately informed that the space available to house the various components is not scarce. The motherboard can be ATX or Micro-ATX form factor, the maximum height that can reach the heat sink / fan assembly CPU is 140 mm, it is possible to house video cards with a maximum length of 320 mm, while the space for all ' feeder is 220 mm. Translated into practical terms, the room for maneuver make it possible to cover CPU and GPU particularly good performance. The desk allows, also, to install a maximum number of 10 HDD / SSD (8 formed in 2.5 "or 3.5" and 2 in size from 2.5 "). Present, lastly, a total of 8 expansion slots.

Not lacking attention to the aspects of thermal dissipation. Fresh air is directed into the house with 4 front 120mm fans and expelled from the rear by a second group of four 120 mm fans. And 'foreseen the possibility to integrate, alternatively, a liquid cooling system with radiators 120 x 120 mm, to arrive at a maximum amplitude of 120 mm x 480 mm.

The bearing structure is made of aluminum, while the tempered glass surface; the possibility of integrating a monitor stand, while in the front is the panel with the four USB ports and audio connectors, the control for adjusting the brightness of the RGB LED lighting systems. The controls for adjusting the height of the desk are structured in the two buttons that allow you to increase it and reduce it and four other buttons that allow you to store four different heights.

A niche product, taking into account the price: for the European market has been confirmed the price 1,269.99 Steriline (1 606.34127 EUR exchange rate), while for the United States the figure is equal to $ 1.499. Availability is scheduled for early May. More specific details for the Italian market are not yet known.

Apple’s AI Push: Everything We Know About Apple Intelligence So Far

Apple’s WWDC 2025 confirmed what many suspected: Apple is finally making a serious leap into artificial intelligence. Dubbed “Apple Intelligence,” the suite of AI-powered tools, enhancements, and integrations marks the company’s biggest software evolution in a decade. But unlike competitors racing to plug AI into everything, Apple is taking a slower, more deliberate approach — one rooted in privacy, on-device processing, and ecosystem synergy. If you’re wondering what Apple Intelligence actually is, how it works, and what it means for your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you’re in the right place. This article breaks it all down.   What Is Apple Intelligence? Let’s get the terminology clear first. Apple Intelligence isn’t a product — it’s a platform. It’s not just a chatbot. It’s a system-wide integration of generative AI, machine learning, and personal context awareness, embedded across Apple’s OS platforms. Think of it as a foundational AI layer stitched into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and m...

The Silent Revolution of On-Device AI: Why the Cloud Is No Longer King

Introduction For years, artificial intelligence has meant one thing: the cloud. Whether you’re asking ChatGPT a question, editing a photo with AI tools, or getting recommendations on Netflix — those decisions happen on distant servers, not your device. But that’s changing. Thanks to major advances in silicon, model compression, and memory architecture, AI is quietly migrating from giant data centres to the palm of your hand. Your phone, your laptop, your smartwatch — all are becoming AI engines in their own right. It’s a shift that redefines not just how AI works, but who controls it, how private it is, and what it can do for you. This article explores the rise of on-device AI — how it works, why it matters, and why the cloud’s days as the centre of the AI universe might be numbered. What Is On-Device AI? On-device AI refers to machine learning models that run locally on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or edge device — without needing constant access to the cloud. In practi...
