Asus announced the first motherboard of the family ROG Strix brand that we saw a few weeks ago combined with a gaming notebook the next market debut. The Taiwanese company's strategy is even clearer now: match to the products of the ROG family Republic of Gamers, even a new line with Strix brand that could represent a family of more affordable products by price as still positioned in the high-end segment the market.
The new card is called STRIC X99 ROG Gaming and as the name clearly suggests is based on the Intel X99 chipset, combined then socket 2011-v3 for new Intel processors Broadwell-E family to debut in the coming weeks.
The card provides a particularly rich accessory equipment, with 4 PCI Express 16x mechanical slot flanked by two PCI Express 1x slot. The SupremeFX audio subsystem is already seen in other Asus products, while the Gigabit network adapter is supported by a WiFi with MU-MIMO support. The onboard storage provides device support SATA alongside those M.2, SATA Express and U.2 plus the ability to manage connections with USB devices even in the 3.1 standard.
Do not miss the opportunity to configure the LEDs on the PCB, as well as change the lighting of the card depending on what other components are installed and the user's personal preferences. Card has been announced for the moment only, no specific information on price and availability. It 'plausible that this product will find in Computex Taipei 2016, in less than three weeks, the showcase of launch to the public.
