Windows 10: Incoming new installation tool and update less intrusive

Microsoft has always been committed to improve the Windows 10 operating system which, during the summer, will cut another milestone with the arrival of the new major update called "Anniversary Update." Both its new Windows 10 reported in the last hours, one of which may already be proven by Insider Windows users.

The first concerns the development of a new operating system installation tool, defined very simple and suitable to perform a clean installation of Windows 10; the transaction is useful, for example, to install the ISO to a new release, without proceeding through Windows Update or when, with the stratification of the updates and with months of use, it may seem appropriate a complete reinstallation of the software platform. Microsoft has not yet clarified the details of the new tool, but it has announced the arrival in the official support forum. Insiders Eeach Windows users will be the first to experience the new tool, which is currently in the final stages of testing.

Hello Windows Insiders

Do you want an easy way to start a new installation "clean" installation of Windows? Looking for a simple way to achieve this? We are working on a tool that will make this possible. The phase of final testing and validation is in progress and we would serve your feedback when ready. Stand by for more information, as we work to finishing touches. And as always, thanks for Windows users Insiders.

The second change concerns the installation of Windows updates mode 10, called "Operation Time". It is a feature already present in builds Windows Insider (from 14316) which will subsequently be made available for all users Windows 10 with the Anniversary Update. This mode allows you to set a schedule of activities within which the system is rebooted to automatically install updates, as described by the relative Function dialog box:

The schedule of activities will indicate when generally uses this device. When a restart is required to complete the installation of an update, the device will not be automatically restarted during business hours.

Users who are using a recent build Windows Insider, from the 14316, can reach the dialog box that allows you to set the start time and end time of Hours of activity, following the path Settings> Windows Update> Change hours activities. It is a novelty that should prevent the occurrence of annoying and unwanted restarts of the PC, which can arise if the automatic update mode is activated.

Apple’s AI Push: Everything We Know About Apple Intelligence So Far

Apple’s WWDC 2025 confirmed what many suspected: Apple is finally making a serious leap into artificial intelligence. Dubbed “Apple Intelligence,” the suite of AI-powered tools, enhancements, and integrations marks the company’s biggest software evolution in a decade. But unlike competitors racing to plug AI into everything, Apple is taking a slower, more deliberate approach — one rooted in privacy, on-device processing, and ecosystem synergy. If you’re wondering what Apple Intelligence actually is, how it works, and what it means for your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you’re in the right place. This article breaks it all down.   What Is Apple Intelligence? Let’s get the terminology clear first. Apple Intelligence isn’t a product — it’s a platform. It’s not just a chatbot. It’s a system-wide integration of generative AI, machine learning, and personal context awareness, embedded across Apple’s OS platforms. Think of it as a foundational AI layer stitched into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and m...

The Silent Revolution of On-Device AI: Why the Cloud Is No Longer King

Introduction For years, artificial intelligence has meant one thing: the cloud. Whether you’re asking ChatGPT a question, editing a photo with AI tools, or getting recommendations on Netflix — those decisions happen on distant servers, not your device. But that’s changing. Thanks to major advances in silicon, model compression, and memory architecture, AI is quietly migrating from giant data centres to the palm of your hand. Your phone, your laptop, your smartwatch — all are becoming AI engines in their own right. It’s a shift that redefines not just how AI works, but who controls it, how private it is, and what it can do for you. This article explores the rise of on-device AI — how it works, why it matters, and why the cloud’s days as the centre of the AI universe might be numbered. What Is On-Device AI? On-device AI refers to machine learning models that run locally on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or edge device — without needing constant access to the cloud. In practi...
