OneDrive, the new universal app available for Windows 10 PC

Microsoft released in recent hours the OneDrive client for Windows 10 (desktop), an app built with Universal Windows Platform of Redmond which allows access in an even faster content stored in the cloud.

This is a universal app very much in demand by the public (see the topic published in the forum UservVoice) which also comes in a desktop version, available for Windows 10 after the Mobile platform. Please note that Windows 10 natively supports the options for the synchronization of OneDrive content with the File Explorer, but an app dedicated and optimized for use with touch makes content management more practical.

The app provides the user with several features that previously could only be accessed via the web version of OneDrive. For example, you can use the restore deleted files, drag and drop the files in the app to automatically start uploading to the cloud, quickly access recent documents (which will open directly in the Office application, if installed in PC) and search for files shared by other users. Among the features introduced, the figure is also the possibility to access SharePoint libraries, a feature mainly for corporate users.

Since this is an app built with the UWP for Windows 10, the new version of OneDrive can take advantage of the Microsoft platform, from the ability to quickly readjust the user interface for use with devices with screens with diagonal and different resolutions. The new PC version will also be appreciated by users Windows 10 Mobile that will have the same app on mobile and desktop, with appreciable advantages in uniformity profile and the experience of use consistency.
