Sony Xperia Ultra XA Official: 6 inches and OIS front camera of 16 MP

The smartphone Sony Xperia X family are not made public, however this has not stopped the Japanese to announce a new device, Xperia XA Ultra. The newcomer, who should occupy the middle segment of the smartphone industry, has a large edge-to-edge display with 6-inch Full HD resolution and a chassis with metal frame.

On the hardware front Sony Xperia XA Ultra uses a MediaTek Helio P10 processor supported by 3GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, expandable through the microSD slot latter available. In addition to the edge-to-edge display, the smartphone is interesting especially for the photographic sector: the back we find a form to 21,5MP with hybrid auto-focus, but it is the front unit to capture the attention. For selfie Sony choosing a well 16 megapixel module with optical image stabilization.

The objective of the front module is supported by the "super-wide-angle" lens capable of producing bright shots in all conditions without unpleasant effects of micro-moved. It remains unfortunately again without stabilizing the rear module, with the company that seems to favor the group selfies and not traditional photography. In the new model lacking the IP certification for resistance to intrusion of liquids and dust and the USB Type-C port.

Xperia XA Ultra will be available in Single and Dual SIM variants (supported Nano), and although the design features, is much more cumbersome than other devices. The dimensions are 164 x 79 mm with a thickness of 8,4mm: if on the one hand the result is undoubtedly commendable in view of the 6-inch display (Nexus 6 for example is 83mm wide, but long 159,3mm), from 'other it is still a burden to be reckoned with in transit.

Sony Xperia Ultra XA specification
Android OS 6 Marshmallow
IPS LCD display 6 "Full HD (1080p)
MediaTek MT6755 SoC Helio P10, octa-core 64-bit
RAM 3 GB
Up to 16GB storage expandable via microSD

Wi-Fi connectivity
aGPS
Bluetooth 4.1

2.700mAh battery
Dimensions 164 x 79 x 8.4mm

The weight, then, is as high as 202 grams, too many if we consider that the integrated battery is 2.700mAh, capable, according to an estimate may be too optimistic by Sony, to provide up to two days of autonomy on a single charge. Sony Xperia Ultra XA should arrive in July variants in Black, White and Lime Gold at a price not yet announced by the company.

Apple’s AI Push: Everything We Know About Apple Intelligence So Far

Apple’s WWDC 2025 confirmed what many suspected: Apple is finally making a serious leap into artificial intelligence. Dubbed “Apple Intelligence,” the suite of AI-powered tools, enhancements, and integrations marks the company’s biggest software evolution in a decade. But unlike competitors racing to plug AI into everything, Apple is taking a slower, more deliberate approach — one rooted in privacy, on-device processing, and ecosystem synergy. If you’re wondering what Apple Intelligence actually is, how it works, and what it means for your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you’re in the right place. This article breaks it all down.   What Is Apple Intelligence? Let’s get the terminology clear first. Apple Intelligence isn’t a product — it’s a platform. It’s not just a chatbot. It’s a system-wide integration of generative AI, machine learning, and personal context awareness, embedded across Apple’s OS platforms. Think of it as a foundational AI layer stitched into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and m...

The Silent Revolution of On-Device AI: Why the Cloud Is No Longer King

Introduction For years, artificial intelligence has meant one thing: the cloud. Whether you’re asking ChatGPT a question, editing a photo with AI tools, or getting recommendations on Netflix — those decisions happen on distant servers, not your device. But that’s changing. Thanks to major advances in silicon, model compression, and memory architecture, AI is quietly migrating from giant data centres to the palm of your hand. Your phone, your laptop, your smartwatch — all are becoming AI engines in their own right. It’s a shift that redefines not just how AI works, but who controls it, how private it is, and what it can do for you. This article explores the rise of on-device AI — how it works, why it matters, and why the cloud’s days as the centre of the AI universe might be numbered. What Is On-Device AI? On-device AI refers to machine learning models that run locally on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or edge device — without needing constant access to the cloud. In practi...
