iTunes, Apple's upcoming confirmation fix to avoid erase the songs

The house of Cupertino has recently admitted the existence of a bug, apparently due to iTunes, which can lead to unwanted deletion of music stored in the PC. Apple's statements corroborate previous reports from users who had found the problem. According to allegations made by the company, the number of users affected is very limited and a fix is coming.

In a very limited number of cases, users have reported that the music files saved in their computers were removed without their permission. We are taking these reports very seriously, we know how important is music to our clients and our teams are focused to identify the cause. We have not been able to replicate this problem, however, we will release an iTunes update early next week, which will include additional protections. If you encounter this kind of problem, you should contact AppleCare.

The update could then arrive in the coming hours. To assess the actual ability to solve the problem, since, as mentioned, the causes have not been identified with precision. The bug may be the result of a number of causes, but if in doubt, Apple's efforts have focused on iTunes. The difficulty in finding the cause is justified by the fact that this is a bug that affects a limited number of users and easily replicated.

Although occurring in limited cases, the problem can produce considerable damage. The 'case' has generated additional media outcry after reporting by James Pinkstore, Music and Apple iTunes user who had documented the problem in detail: 122GB of music stored in the PC canceled, without his consent, in the process of scanning the entire music collection by Apple, which is necessary to make available the tracks between all devices used by the user.
