Surprise return of Popcorn Time on the web, but with suspected sources

Popcorn Time was in the US on referral service for piracy of films and television series. Targeted by the MPAA and associations for the protection of copyright, his life was short, but intense. It made easy - perhaps too much - the use of content in an illegal way, to the point that it was right now called "the Netflix for pirates." The service was shut down during the last months of 2015, but the nightmare for Hollywood is not yet finished.

The team at its base had announced in October Butter, a tool to create similar services but with purpose required by law. In reality, the story did not go as planned, and in recent weeks we have witnessed the arrival of Torrents Time. It is a plug-in for browsers that allows any website to stream through sources in peer-to-peer. In other words, the situation now seems to be even more sensitive, and the battle between the most rugged parts.

The situation not pleasant you add a new piece recounted last Wednesday by TorrentFreak. The site points out that the PopcornTime.io fork has received an update as expected known as "Hail Hydra" which has revived the application. It is based on the same code as the original Butter project, but does not seem to have been significant changes made to the software. Once up the new portal, also the repository on GitHub has been updated.

And he has come to life even the original channel of Popcorn Time on Twitter. Although all indications to presume a direct involvement of the original creators of the service, the same have already announced that they have nothing to do with his recent resurrection. The developers have already been sued by the MPAA, and is the same association that paradoxically has the properties of the domains to which the new Popcorn Time resurrected.

But if the original creators are not involved in the new project, who you are behind the operations? The story is currently a mystery, and the return of Popcorn Time, in spite of all the directives imposed recently by the judicial bodies, it is at the time of writing at least suspect.
