Spotify, have 30 million subscribers Premium Members

30 million paying customers: this is the line cut Spotify, as announced by founder Daniel Ek through a post on Twitter. The growth of the user base who decided to subscribe to the service proceeds at a fairly high speed, when you consider that the milestone of 20 million was cut in June 2015, and that of 10 million in 2014.

A figure that would be interesting to know, but Ek has not shared, is the ratio of paying users and registered users no surcharge even if it is reasonable to assume that they will exceed 75 million reported a year ago.

We have 30 million subscribers @Spotify, but none of them are in Cuba ... yet. So cool to see Cuba opening up! https://t.co/nZa67f0l8U

How does Spotify than the competition? The advantage is, and even of a certain size is still not intelligent enough to rest on our laurels. Apple Music, for example, took six months to be able to reach 10 million paying users, and Tidal, project directly participated by numerous artists, is also carving out a space by reaching one million users in September 2015, just over a year after its debut.

Rather it seems to find some room for growth in the music streaming market as a whole and that of the non-exclusive strategy is affecting in a particular way on the growth dinamcihe. You may need a little 'time before they actually have to start thinking about strategies of "priming" of users to expand their market shares.

Together with the celebration of the goal achieved, Daniel Ek has also announced the opening of the service for residents in Cuba.
