iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro, which kicks off the pre-order in 12 countries

Apple began accepting reservations for the new iPhone SE, 4-inch smartphone at $ 399, and iPad 9.7-inch Pro. Both devices can be ordered in 12 countries: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, United Kingdom and United States. The first deliveries are scheduled for next March 31. And in Italy? With us you can order iPhone SE from March 29, while Pro 9.7 "iPad will be" coming soon. "

iPhone SE can be purchased in two versions, 16 and 64 GB of built-in storage, and four finishes of different colors, all aluminum. The colors available are the same as the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, then sidereal Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold. In the States the two versions cost 399 and $ 499, 509 in Italy and € 609, factor that triggered a fuss. For many think that the price differences between the US market and foreign ones are in no way justifiable.

The new smartphone with 4-inch Apple is particularly interesting: in a market that is more and more towards the adoption of Apple's large display offers a device with a very small diagonal, still enjoying the typical features of high-end . The integrated SoC is the same as the iPhone 6S, as well as the 12-megapixel rear camera. It replaces iPhone 5S in the line-up, and shares with the latter model form factor and display.

iPad Pro 9.7 "full range of professional Cupertino tablet, made before only by the 12.9" model. The hardware under the shell is very similar, while the integrated system memory amount is halved to 2GB. In the new model, the rear camera is 12 megapixels and is supported for the first time on the Apple tablet as an LED flash. As the largest model we find four stereo speakers, support for a cover with integrated keyboard and the active stylus.

The cost in the US is starting at $ 599 for the Wi-Fi only version, up to a maximum of $ 1,029. Again in Italy we will be better harassed on the monetary front: to buy the new Apple Pro tablet will need to spend a minimum of 689 €, up to a maximum of € 1,199 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular version of 256GB of storage integrated.

Max Q: Anomalous

Hello and welcome back to Max Q! Last week wasn’t the most successful for spaceflight missions. We’ll get into that a bit more below. In this issue: First up, a botched launch from Virgin Orbit… …followed by one from ABL Space Systems News from Rocket Lab, World View and more Virgin Orbit’s botched launch highlights shaky financial future After Virgin Orbit’s launch failure last Monday, during which the mission experienced an  “anomaly” that prevented the rocket from reaching orbit, I went back over the company’s financials — and things aren’t looking good. For Virgin Orbit, this year has likely been completely turned on its head. The company was aiming for three launches this year, but everything will remain grounded until the cause of the anomaly has been identified and resolved. It’s unclear how long that will take, but likely at least three months. Add this delay to Virgin’s dwindling cash reserves and you have a foundation that’s suddenly much shakier than before. ...
