iOS 9.3 problematic for some older iPad here some solutions

One of the peculiar features of the Apple devices is the patience with which they receive updates, even after a few years after its debut to the public. That's how the latest version of the operating system, iOS 9.3, is still available on the old iPhone and the old iPad. In the latter case, however, not without some trouble, some of the second-generation iPad users have in fact found some errors in the process of installing the update, errors that have rendered useless the tablet.

The problem has been reported by some users on the official forum of the company and unearthed by AppleInsider site. At the time of this writing the company has not released any official statement, probably because the problem is still not too widespread. Our members have made mistakes in the activation system, quite typical in the case of the Apple server congestion. A normal situation to the release of new firmware, although some have been waiting several hours without finding a solution.

It seems that some users are able to work around the problem by downloading iOS 9.3 via iTunes or on a Mac, installing it via OTA but not through a USB connection to a laptop or desktop system. The solution is not able to solve the problem on all participating devices, with users who got full operation of the machine again only by running a full recovery. There is, besides, who has led the tablet at an Apple Store without success.

At the time of writing the situation seems confined within a very limited number of devices, but we have not yet reliable numbers on the actual scope of the case. It is likely that the company promptly solve the server-side problem, however in case you have encountered problems with the activation iPad second generation (or other older models) on iOS 9.3 you can try to restore its functionality by performing simple operations that we reported recently above.
