Surface Hub, after several delays Microsoft starts shipments

Officially Microsoft start shipments of Surface Hub, the device which can be briefly described as a "mega tablet" based on the Windows 10 operating system and for corporate users. A condition of ending the long wait of the users interested in buying the product. Microsoft has confirmed the news with a recent post on the official site that reports the testimony of the first companies that have begun to use Surface Hub.

Surface Hub was initially announced early last year, pre-orders had started in the month of July, with an estimated date of order delivery scheduled for September Microsoft, had later informed that, due to high demand , deliveries had been postponed to January 2016. last December, however, the product to the market approach procedure, not only was characterized by a new delay, but not the price of two models amounted to $ 2,000 each ( $ 8,999 for the version with 55 "screen, and $ 21,900 for those with 84" screen).

The delay with which Microsoft has taken steps to initiate shipments has certainly not helped to keep the current hardware that equips the device, currently based on Intel Core processors fourth generation, based on Haswell architecture. It is, beyond all, of machinery for corporate users interested in renewing the meeting rooms with a device that offers the best of Windows 10, supporting input via stylus and touch screen, ability to use universal app Windows 10 and to take advantage of the integration with Skype for Business services.

Microsoft demonstrates a consistent series of apps that can be profitably used by the user company with the Surface Hub app ranging from visualization of 3D models and CAD files, to activities that facilitate brainstorming and interaction among members of the working group. Among many examples, Microsoft specifically mentions: Buzz Radar; FluidMath; Mediator by Interknowlogy; MURAL; Power BI; Sensavis The 3D Classroom; Portal Mindmap by HeadCandy; Stormboard for Surface Hub; TechSmith Loop; SharpCloud; tuServ by Black Marble; Virbeya; and XOS Thundercloud.

Max Q: Anomalous

Hello and welcome back to Max Q! Last week wasn’t the most successful for spaceflight missions. We’ll get into that a bit more below. In this issue: First up, a botched launch from Virgin Orbit… …followed by one from ABL Space Systems News from Rocket Lab, World View and more Virgin Orbit’s botched launch highlights shaky financial future After Virgin Orbit’s launch failure last Monday, during which the mission experienced an  “anomaly” that prevented the rocket from reaching orbit, I went back over the company’s financials — and things aren’t looking good. For Virgin Orbit, this year has likely been completely turned on its head. The company was aiming for three launches this year, but everything will remain grounded until the cause of the anomaly has been identified and resolved. It’s unclear how long that will take, but likely at least three months. Add this delay to Virgin’s dwindling cash reserves and you have a foundation that’s suddenly much shakier than before. ...
