Rumor: Windows 10 Anniversary Update available in late July

Windows 10 Anniversary Update, the long-awaited update of Microsoft's operating system, could be released in late July, that is one year after the arrival of the first stable version of Windows 10. This suggests Brad Sams, a source often well informed of events the Redmond, which, until now, has generally confirmed the arrival of the update over the summer. Sams cites some Microsoft internal sources well informed of the facts, which are aware of the date by which it will be finalized the road map for the update, ie mid-July.

It is not yet absolutely certain that the release takes place later this month, taking into account that the Road Map are likely to change, determined by the state of the operating system development. One of the possible dates for the start of the distribution could coincide with July 29th, which is the same day chosen by Microsoft in 2015 to start the upgrade process to Windows 10. The source says about it:

Like all the timeline, the release date could change ... Considering that Windows 10 was released on July 29, would make sense the Anniversary Update release around that date, the 29 is a Friday

The date of July 29 will be in any case an important date for the Windows users, given that is the deadline within which to make the free upgrade to Windows 7/8 / 8.1 to Windows 10. Free will be the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 users who are already using the latest version of the operating system.

The central core of the upgrade, including new features, it has already been created and made available to users who take part in the Windows Insider program - see the contents of the recent build Insider Preview 14328. As we approach the release date, the development activity will gradually move from the introduction of new features to that of bugfixing. Signals in this direction are clearly contained in the recent IP build 14333 with which Microsoft has kicked off a Bug Bash session that will end next Sunday involving Insider Windows users via the Feedback Hub.
