Jaguar Land Rover is the first automobile manufacturer to announce support to Tile, the small white square plates that you can affix to the keys or other objects that can easily be lost or forgotten.
Tile uses Bluetooth Low Energy technology to keep in touch with your smartphone or other devices in the vicinity (in this case the infotainment system of the Jaguar Land Rover vehicles), thus acting as a presence sensor that can be traced. When a Tile loses contact with smartphone or his tracking device, you can view the last place where it was recorded the signal.
The integration of Tile in a vehicle is found interesting: you can for example select which tile you want to trace (for example the one connected to the wallet or the keys of the house) so you always know before leaving if we forgetting something .
Only vehicles and SUVs with InControl platform of Jaguar Land Rover support Tile, after downloading the appropriate application, available now. Single Tile is marketed at $ 25, and has a range of one year before needing to be replaced.
