Panasonic CF-D1 is one of the most popular solutions in Europe in the professional field as regards the automotive sector. The Japanese have announced a Mk3 version, on paper, should deliver 50% more autonomy, improved screen visibility, higher performance and higher energy efficiency. In addition, the new tablet comes with Windows 10 Pro natively installed.
Toughbook CF-D1 is designed specifically for technicians carrying out diagnosis of motor vehicles or machines, in the workshop and on the field, but also for the management of emergency response teams and emergency services. The tablet uses a LCD display, now IPS, 13.3 "LED backlit HD resolution, offering a maximum brightness of 400cd / m² to be used outdoors without any problems. The panel can be used under the rain, with a pen or with gloves thanks to the resistive touchscreen.
Under the heavy body reinforced with protection from falls from 90cm, and IP-65, the new model Panasonic Toughbook CF-D1 integrates an Intel Core i5-6300U CPU sixth-generation dual-core 2.4GHz. Pre-installed in the system are Windows 10 Pro in 64-bit version, comes with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional and extended support Skylake architecture to ensure full compatibility with enterprise software not yet updated to the latest OS Microsoft.
In terms of wireless connectivity, Toughbook CF-D1 mk3 integrates the WLAN module Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 and has support for Bluetooth 4.1 technology. The tablet also has a 5 megapixel rear camera, certainly not to capture beautiful landscapes, how to electronically scan diagnostic documentation or information on paper. On the body are also three configurable ports designed to support all specialties ports and serial ports, VGA, LAN or USB.
