Tamron announces the updated and the new 90mm Macro 85mm F1.8 stabilized

Tamron announces two new lenses for SLR Full Frame very interesting. The first is the SP 90mm F / 2.8 Macro 1: 1 Di VC USD (Model F017). This is the reinterpretation of a classic of macro photography, already highly regarded for good optical quality combined with an attractive price.
This new model first sharpens the VC stabilizer, which through the addition of an accelerometer it is now able to also compensate for the displacements in the XY plane, for a more effective a short distance result (where the traditional stabilizers lose much of their effectiveness) .

It was then speed up the AF system thanks to new algorithms, and has been improved resistance to elements with a higher level of weather sealing and a new fluorine coating of the front lens (used for the first time on the recent SP 15-30mm) that it reduces the poor and dirt.
As a good "macro", the new F017 has all the features that have made the success of its predecessor, such as internal focus (the front lens does not extend) that provides a working distance, always at least 139mm from the front element , and the rapid exclusion of FA for the manual correction of the focus point.
E 'consists of 14 elements in 11 groups, including an LD element and two XLD (eXtra Low & Low Dispersion), uses 62mm filters and a 9-blade diaphragm. He will debut Feb. 25 in Canon and Nikon versions, while the version with Sony attack (without stabilizer) will be announced at a later date.

The second objective has announced the SP 85mm F / 1.8 Di VC USD (Model F016), classic portrait lens which, for the first time in this category, incorporates a VC stabilizer. Moreover Tamron had already stated: the stabilizer is considered an essential component of the project of top of the range goals, and from this moment it will be integrated in all new high-end products. Given the new impetus to the growth of sensor resolution, we can only appreciate this approach.
Also equipped with LD elements and two XLD and more resistant to the elements, such as the 90mm Macro, consists of 13 lenses in 9 groups, focuses from 80cm (maximum magnification 0.14x), uses 67mm filters and diaphragm 9-blade. Its availability on the shelves is presently unknown.
Starting in March, it will be available in the all-new TAP-USB console, which will upgrade the firmware and customize AF system and other parameters of these and other future compatible objectives.
