The second expansion pack for The Witcher 3 will be published before E3

CD Projekt has announced that the second expansion pack for The Witcher 3, entitled Blood and Wine, will be put on the market in the weeks preceding the E3 in Los Angeles. The confirmation comes from an interview that some members of the study were released at the German site GameStar, but the contents were later translated into English on Reddit.

According to information gleaned from the interview the new game map will cover an area equal to that of all Skellige islands joined together. The expansion will also provide access to a new deck of cards from Gwent.

In the same interview, CD Projekt has denied the chance to be realized remastered edition of The Witcher and The Witcher 2 and also ruled out the release of a collection that includes the entire trilogy. The Polish team is instead considering to build a Game of The Year Edition of The Witcher 3, which will include all patches and expansions published in recent months.

Blood and Wine was announced last spring along with the expansion Heart of Stone, available since last October. The new region where players will be able to penetrate is the Toussaint, a province belonging to the Empire Nilfgaardian, famous for its wines and the mountain ranges of volcanic origin.
