Gmail: the Android app now supports Microsoft Exchange on each device

The official Gmail app for Android platform recently received a new update that introduces a novelty particularly welcome for those who use a Microsoft Exchange account. Following the update, in fact, any Android device can support Microsoft Exchange. An important change, given that, previously, this possibility was restricted to holders of a Nexus device or installation manual for occupational provision OF THE SPECIAL .apk Gmail 5.0. Today's news concerns that support is extended to all non-Nexus devices out-of-box.

The update is being distributed: Google says it may have to wait three or more days before the large-scale release. To check if the update is available and installed, just add an account in the Settings menu: the "Exchange" account type should be visible through the settings.

Microsoft Exchange is often used in business and academia; before upgrading, to use it on devices other than Nexus had to use a third-party email client. The ability to use the Microsoft Exchange account, you not only send and receive email with your account ME, but also to synchronize contacts and calendar appointments.

To download the Android Gmail app, simply log on to the Play Store. Anyone wishing to proceed to manually download the new version can download the .apk file, as reported by Android Police website *. It is not yet clear whether Google will decide to extend support to Exchange, including with regard to the iOS app.

* Note: The files reported by the source is signed by Google and the cryptographic signature does not appear altered. The installation, therefore, should not be exposed to security risks. If in doubt, we recommend that you wait for the new version via the Play Store.
