The first manufacturer of NVIDIA partner that has shown a picture of the family GeForce 1080 GTX video card not based on the reference design developed by the American company. So this is the first new architecture of Pascal GeForce based card not to be the Founders Edition series.
It is very well known as Galaxy has adopted a cooling system that if to form recalls the one developed by NVIDIA, is well away from the latter with regard to the materials. There is extensive use of plastic where the NVIDIA design of the Founders Edition model instead provides different materials; in the rear, in addition, the tab of the PCB is left completely in sight when in NVIDIA this proposal is completely covered by a metal plate.
The integrated fan is to size and construction very similar to that of the Founders Edition board; it is likely that some of NVIDIA partners can opt for custom cooling systems with 2 or 3 fans, recovering in this design we've seen developed in the past with previous NVIDIA video cards families.
We remember how the GeForce 1080 GTX card is scheduled to debut starting next May 27, with the Founders Edition initially priced at US $ 699 plus tax. Afterwards we will see the launch of other cards, identical operating specifications but characterized by cooling systems and perhaps even different PCB: the price lists for these models will start at $ 599 plus tax which the manufacturer suggested retail price.
