Live phone Caterpillar with integrated thermal camera

Smartphones have many features that are useful in the workplace, but for certain types of users have a feature that just does not fit: are generally quite fragile. Caterpillar has long proposed its smartphones 'bodywork' and at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona has put into the pot his new CAT S60, which stands out above all for the special built-in camera.

Alongside the traditional form, in fact, the camera also uses a thermal sensor Flir, similar to what happens with the iPhone accessory that we tested some time ago. Actually the sensor used is exactly the same and can cover the needs of a public that is enough an entry level product, such as electricians, plumbers and those concerned with energy certificates.

The CAT S60 incorporates a reinforced frame that allows him to overcome unscathed falls from a height of 1.8 meters, incorporates a touch screen protected by glass Gorilla Glass 4 - manageable even with gloves - and a large 3800 mAh battery. Software soul is the Android operating system Marshmallow. The detailed hardware report includes:

Display 4.7 "HD multitouch, 540nits, Gorilla Glass 4
SoC Snapdragon 617 octa-core
3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage
13mp rear camera with dual LED flash and VGA thermal sensor
Front 5MP camera
4G LTE connectivity
3800 mAh battery
High quality sound (> 105dB)
App of the FLIR thermal camera management with MSX technology
