Not just the profit accumulated from Amazon since the company was listed on the stock market to buy all the products on its catalog. This was revealed by a new study of Kynan Eng who declined to be scientific or exact, but that arises to estimate the cost of all the individual products on the portal of e-commerce. Compulsive shopping can cost on Amazon really much.
With the figure found by Eng you can buy a unit of every single thing on this store. The statistic is based on the American version of the portal, which, according to this study contains about 488 million products. In the Italian one, for comparison, there are about 165 million, with the total price that actually could vary considerably compared to the study of Eng.
Based on this number the user of Quora then determined the average price of items sold on Amazon based on 100 products and discarding those that were not available or free. He found so that most of the things sold on Amazon at a price of less than $ 5, only a fraction exceeds the threshold of $ 100 and even fewer products that exceed $ 1000.
So, how much it would cost us if we wanted to buy each of the 488 million products sold on Amazon.com? The answer is 13.37 billion dollars, a figure with a decent collection of patience and some calculations tedious but which, remember, is not an absolutely reliable given the obvious liberties taken during the data analysis done by the researcher and user of Quora.
