First gameplay video for the new System Shock

Night Dive Studios has released the first video containing images of the new game System Shock, from a pre-alpha version. The sequences last only a couple of minutes, but you can already get an idea about the preliminary steps undertaken by the development team for the revival of the brand, for over sixteen years away from the exit of the second chapter.

The intent is to propose an edition remastered classic fitting experience lived by fans, taking care to update the user interface and the look and impact to the standards of contemporary productions. The game is built using the Unity game engine, will arrive on both PC and Xbox One and soon a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter will also be available.

In January, Warren Spector, creator of the historical series, had confirmed that OtherSide Entertainment would take part in the development of the third chapter. As explained by renowned designers in recent weeks, System Shock 3 will not be built by hundreds of people, mainly to avoid falling in the same errors that occurred at the junction point of time and the development of Epic Mickey.

"I ended up with large teams. We had 200 people in Junction Point, within the study, and 800 people around the world working on the game. Right now what I want to do requires a smaller budget, a model that takes between 10 and 20 people. I will not go beyond this dimension. "
