The producer of Resident Evil celebrates the twenty anniversary of the series

Capcom has decided to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise publishing a series of developer interviews. The first of these contents was shot in the producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi and the company offers an overview on the past of the series, from the first chapter published on the first PlayStation until the present time, and ends with a message addressed to all the fans.

"Resident Evil was released on 22 March 1996. I never thought of working on the series even twenty years later. We have to the overall success of this series mainly to you, our incredible fans. Each chapter has its own characteristics and, while people will prefer one over another, the creative team always have the same passion, no matter what titles it is. "

"Therefore, if you are fan of Resident Evil but there are chapters that have not played, I would like if you took a bit 'of time to look at him. I hope that the twentieth anniversary will give the opportunity to rethink the whole series. Thank you and I trust that you will continue to support Resident Evil ".

In recent weeks, Capcom has confirmed the release of remastered versions of Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6. The sixth chapter will be the first to be revived and will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 29.
