TV recommended for Netflix: the best models of 2016 according to the company

If Netflix for you is not a simple online streaming service but a way of life, you have to be very careful while purchasing the next Smart TV. Last year the company announced its proprietary certification "Netflix Recommended", delivered to televisions that possessed the criteria chosen by the managers of the company to determine the quality of experience of use with the service. To emphasize the presence of the certification logo that we report just below.

According to Variety he writes the selection of this year was tougher than the previous year, the company reduced the amount of time because the model in question would lead to complete certain tasks. To receive approval from Netflix on the TV must rise at least 5 of the 7 planned test. Three of these are related to the feature: the TV must leave the stand-by and should be ready to use right away, must restore the last session and must have the latest Netflix updated with the latest features.

Two tests are instead relative to the performance: the Netflix app must also be started quickly soon after turning on the TV, and the video should be restored immediately when you return from another application on Netflix. The remaining two tests depend instead on the ease of access: The remote control must have a dedicated Netflix button, the application icon should rather be right now visible within the software interface.

Based on these tests Netflix said the first TV in 2016 recommended to use the service. Grosso absent Samsung, which was not included either in the rankings disclosed in 2015. Here are the TV "Netflix Reccommended"

LG 4K UHD TV with web OS 3.0: the families UH6300, UH6500, UH7500, UH8500, UH9500, and G6.
Android Sony 4K UHD TV: the S85D family, X85D, X93D, X94D, XD93, XD94, XD85 and SD85.

Netflix claims that the program is a means to encourage TV manufacturers to improve the hardware and software support, but there is of course another motivation behind the certification. Even if one part is definitely true that the use experience of some Smart TV is anything but simple and immediate, of against Netflix maneuver is also self-promotional. Does not have the certification does not result in all cases very bad experience with the service, but if you go out without fail and you can not do without the service these are the TVs that will surely offer you an excellent viewing experience with Netflix.

The Silent Revolution of On-Device AI: Why the Cloud Is No Longer King

Introduction For years, artificial intelligence has meant one thing: the cloud. Whether you’re asking ChatGPT a question, editing a photo with AI tools, or getting recommendations on Netflix — those decisions happen on distant servers, not your device. But that’s changing. Thanks to major advances in silicon, model compression, and memory architecture, AI is quietly migrating from giant data centres to the palm of your hand. Your phone, your laptop, your smartwatch — all are becoming AI engines in their own right. It’s a shift that redefines not just how AI works, but who controls it, how private it is, and what it can do for you. This article explores the rise of on-device AI — how it works, why it matters, and why the cloud’s days as the centre of the AI universe might be numbered. What Is On-Device AI? On-device AI refers to machine learning models that run locally on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or edge device — without needing constant access to the cloud. In practi...

Apple’s AI Push: Everything We Know About Apple Intelligence So Far

Apple’s WWDC 2025 confirmed what many suspected: Apple is finally making a serious leap into artificial intelligence. Dubbed “Apple Intelligence,” the suite of AI-powered tools, enhancements, and integrations marks the company’s biggest software evolution in a decade. But unlike competitors racing to plug AI into everything, Apple is taking a slower, more deliberate approach — one rooted in privacy, on-device processing, and ecosystem synergy. If you’re wondering what Apple Intelligence actually is, how it works, and what it means for your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you’re in the right place. This article breaks it all down.   What Is Apple Intelligence? Let’s get the terminology clear first. Apple Intelligence isn’t a product — it’s a platform. It’s not just a chatbot. It’s a system-wide integration of generative AI, machine learning, and personal context awareness, embedded across Apple’s OS platforms. Think of it as a foundational AI layer stitched into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and m...
