Overclock Series for the GeForce GTX 960 from Gigabyte Xtreme

Waiting for the debut of video cards based on AMD and NVIDIA's next generation GPU, belonging respectively to the families Polaris and Pascal, there are announcements of new solutions from manufacturers engaged in this industry.

And 'the case of Gigabyte, who announced the GeForce GTX 960 Xtreme features a custom design and a budget of onboard video memory of 4 Gbytes. The video chip clock frequency has been increased to a considerable extent compared to NVIDIA specifications: 1,304 MHz and 1,367 MHz, respectively, for the default clock and boost clock, against 1,127 MHz and 1,178 MHz data specifications of NVIDIA.

Nothing changes with reference to the video memory, in a quantity of 4 Gbytes with actual frequency of 7,010 MHz as well as for the reference design. The PCB custom is surmounted by a massive cooling system of windforce 2X family, with two fans from 90 millimeters in diameter which rotate in the opposite direction with an orientation of the blades that is opposed.

The feeding of the sheet is ensured by a 6-pin connector flanked by a 8-pin: this feature, in combination with the power circuitry custom, ensures stable operation with overclock clock frequencies and leaves more space for the intervention in overclocking ' user. At present Gigabyte has not yet announced the price and availability for our market.

Max Q: Anomalous

Hello and welcome back to Max Q! Last week wasn’t the most successful for spaceflight missions. We’ll get into that a bit more below. In this issue: First up, a botched launch from Virgin Orbit… …followed by one from ABL Space Systems News from Rocket Lab, World View and more Virgin Orbit’s botched launch highlights shaky financial future After Virgin Orbit’s launch failure last Monday, during which the mission experienced an  “anomaly” that prevented the rocket from reaching orbit, I went back over the company’s financials — and things aren’t looking good. For Virgin Orbit, this year has likely been completely turned on its head. The company was aiming for three launches this year, but everything will remain grounded until the cause of the anomaly has been identified and resolved. It’s unclear how long that will take, but likely at least three months. Add this delay to Virgin’s dwindling cash reserves and you have a foundation that’s suddenly much shakier than before. ...
