The Season 3 Killer Instinct will enjoy some graphical improvements

Iron Galaxy has announced that the third season of Killer Instinct will not only offer the public a new roster of playable characters, some technical improvements are in fact planned that will allow to make the most of the Xbox One hardware.

"We are delighted to have added some new elements to the Season 3 of Killer Instinct, thanks to which we believe that the whole experience will be improved, and today I am going to speak from an artistic point of view," said the art director Chad Greene . "From a visual point of view we are introducing a new graphics technology and adding a new dynamic lighting system that allows best realism and a better interaction with the" characters and levels.

The third game of the season so enables the use of lighting in new ways and this choice has also led to some changes on the levels that were already available in the previous two seasons.
"As technology evolves, the graphics become more and more powerful, and these days the players can now enjoy a fantastic visual effect on console hardware. In the early stages of development of Season 3 we knew we wanted to raise the level and have a great passion for the next-generation graphics. To achieve this we had to update the tool and the pipeline and we are very happy with the results and the way the graphic power of Xbox One "is exploited.

"Our lighting system is very sophisticated, and it was time for an upgrade. We have come together to design and decide to exploit a system by which we obtained dynamic light within the game, making sure that would work with our existing graphics engine. Our levels have been completely revised taking advantage of these new tools, while the characters have received updates regarding the illumination, so as to allow that interacted with the new levels of characteristics.

We remind you that the launch of Season 3 Killer Instinct is expected during the month of March on Xbox One and Windows 10.
