Ubisoft has announced that the beta of The Division has been played by over 6.4 million players and that these numbers represent a record for a new current generation IP test. The only way to have passed these figures is Star Wars Battlefront fact, that during the beta had reached 9.5 million users in the month of October.
The open beta of The Division was held February 18 to 21 on both PC and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The average estimated play time for each participant was 4 hours and 52 minutes and more than a third of this time was spent in the Dark Zone destined to PvP. Ubisoft has also made it known that, during these matches, are less than half of participants who decided to turn their backs on their mates and then receive a price on his head.
"We want to thank the millions of people who took part in the Open Beta of The Division. We hope everyone has a great time playing and we are convinced that the beta will help us to ensure a great launch for the game. We can not wait until everyone can put their hands on the full version, when The Division will be published on March 8, "commented Creative Director Magnus Jansen.
