Sharebot Q: the 3D printer filament A3

Sharebot has recently introduced a new desktop printer in its range, the new Sharebot 42, of which we told you about a couple of weeks ago and that should reach the market in early April. The innovations do not stop there and in fact at the MECSPE Parma now also comes Sharebot Q, printer spindle filament FFF designed for the professional sector and accredited high print volume. The print area is A3 and
equal to 297x420x300mm: compared to the XXL model, which on the long axis can be pushed up to 70 cm prints, here are the other two axes to have benefited from the higher elongation, in particular the Z axis that earns well 10 cm in height.

Sharebot Q brings with it technical improvements, hardware and software, the Lombard company debuted on Sharebot 42: first of all, the self-calibration of the axes X, Y and Z, the color touchscreen display with touch interface, web cam built, remote control via ethernet prints, dual USB port, and the innovative magnetic heated surface (not glass), which is one of the details that most impressed us from seeing live Sharebot 42. the latter , in fact, it facilitates the removal of the objects printed from their support and does not require the use of lacquer or ribbons for the perfect adhesion of the first layers of the prints. Designed for the new industrial realities Sharebot Q is not a desktop printer, but is built in a case that incorporates a cabinet closed below the print area (also protected by door) to keep the coils and for the rest of the printing accessories. About coils, Q provides support for the coils up to 2 kilograms. As already seen in Sharebot 42 dual USB port sees the first thought for the standard reading of the keys with stored print files, the other, however, conceived in view of a future introduction of special kits expansion or renovation.

Among the declared data we print speed of 24 mm 3 / sec, and the minimum thickness of the layer of 0.05 mm. It then signals the presence of a system with dual drive motors on the extruder that is in proximity of the coil to facilitate the extrusion. Furthermore, the control of the filament control system allows to control printing, avoiding damage to a prototype in the case of a problem to the filament.
