LG announced in recent hours G5, its high-end solution for the smartphone market. But not only. The company has indeed released an endless series of accessories for the new device, which is considered "modular" for the possibility to integrate additional appendices and increase the versatility of use. The launch of LG G5 will be two modules available, which allow you to "turn your smartphone into a camera and a hi-fi stereo."
Let's start with Cam Plus: can be attached to the battery slot to offer the manual controls of a digital camera and a better grip. The module integrates an LED indicator and physical buttons to control power, shooting, recording and zoom, while ensuring a better grip for the execution of photographs and video footage. A module enabled, it will also take advantage of the 1200 mAh battery built into it that will add up to the one already present on your smartphone.
Hi-Fi Plus with B & O Play is a portable high-definition DAC developed in collaboration with the Division Play Bang & Olufsen. According to LG's proclamations should satisfy users who demand an unquestionable quality sound reproduction, typical of high-end players. The module supports the upsampling function 32-bit and playing sources at 384kHz. LG Hi-Fi Plus can be used both as a form of LG G5 that as Hi-Fi DAC of any model or PC.
With G5, LG introduces the ecosystem LG Playground, a series of gadgets that are called LG Friends and offer an experience most "fun and engaging smartphone use."
Among these LG 360 VR, virtual reality viewer with small dimensions which can be connected to your smartphone thanks to a dedicated cable and, according to the company, simulates a 130-inch TV viewed from 2 meters away. The folding design allows the user to easily carry it and see 'virtual' content at any time and on the move. Unlike other viewers who require the insertion of the smartphone to operate, LG 360 VR is also much lighter.
The viewer is compatible with photos and videos of the LG 360 CAM, a camera in a compact design that allows, as the name suggests, to take photos and videos easily. It is equipped with two wide-angle cameras 13MP, three microphones to record audio from 5.1 channels and is able to deliver video to 2K resolution. Images taken with the camera can also be easily uploaded to YouTube Street View and 360.
The accessories presented by LG does not end here: we find among the many Rolling Bot, device that rotates like a ball and captures images and videos thanks to 8MP built-in camera. It can be used as a home security system, as playmate or remote control for other home automation applications. The IP camera connected via Wi-Fi allows users to control home from anywhere in the world.
We then LG Tone Platinum, high-quality Bluetooth headset compatible with aptX HD codec and 24-bit audio sources with no latency; H3 B & O Play, top of the range to be matched with LG Hi-Fi Plus (the form of which we spoke headset above) and designed for audiophiles; Smart Controller, to control drones, or other smart devices; and finally Friends Manager, a "hub" that lets you connect to all the Friends LG accessories with ease and avoiding all the hassles of the pairing between devices.
