GDC 2016: Ubisoft has announced Assassin's Creed VR

During today Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed franchise will land even on VR with experience specifically dedicated, created in partnership with Fox and the Practical Magic special effects company.

Through a post appeared on the official Twitter page was also confirmed that the experience will be based on the Assassin's Creed movie, which will be launched in cinemas later this year and boasts a cast Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.

The new production was unveiled in the course of AMD's conference which was held at the Game Developers Conference 2016, currently underway at San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center. During the event intervened Matthew Lewis, President of Practical Magic VR, which has, however, he pointed out that it will not be a video game. The VR experience is in fact the film was shot at the same time, using the same location as Malta, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Practical Magic is credited for his work in films such as X-Men 2, Serenity and Men in Black 2.

"We are pleased the announcement of Assassin's Creed VR Experience and we look forward to working with New Regency, Fox and Practical Magic to share more details in the future," said Michael Beadle Ubisoft.
