Rise of the Tomb Raider, DX12 support coming?

After the find of some files inside the Rise of the Tomb Raider installation folder they have spread like wildfire on the network rumors of a possible DirectX 12 support for the newly released PC version. The folder structure of Rise of the Tomb Raider seems to have changed after the release of this patch. If the items, which are originated by a comment from a user on Reddit as often happens, is confirmed, Rise of the Tomb Raider would be one of the first games ever to benefit from the latest version of Microsoft API.

The DX12 support should not be the only technical improvement Rise of the Tomb Raider, since the developer is thinking Nixxes to also implement the temporal anti-aliasing filter NVIDIA TXAA. In future renderer should find space also VXAO technology that manages the shading in the presence of ambient occlusion by voxels.

Rise of the Tomb Raider, also thanks to the tight game environments, is now one of the games with the nearest graphic to photorealism.
