Netflix, saving data mode mobile devices in tests

If you are heavy users of Netflix and often you are looking for a Wifi network because the data consumption in the case of mobile use is excessive, you will surely be happy to hear this news. According to spread the last few hours, in fact, just the streaming content providers seems to be working on a new play mode that would promise substantial savings from this point of view.
We are talking about an activated option in the application settings menu called "cellular data management", which, as just said 'will limit the consumption of data in the event that we are by streaming a movie under 3G or LTE network.

At the moment it is a feature in tests that only a few users are able to activate. The testimonies of the early beta testers still talk about substantial savings, about 30 MB every 2 minutes of streaming, more or less half of what you normally consume.

And the quality? According to early rumors it seems that despite this considerable saving the quality of the images should not be affected by the reduction in the flow of data in a clear manner.

There only remains to wait for the official announcement of the news and the launch of the new version of the app globally. Obviously it will not be an imminent release but we hope that the testing phase is completed in a short time.
