The ASUS MG monitors cater to a specific category of users, namely gamers interested in enhancing the performance of the GPU combining a display with sufficient technical characteristics: the response time content, technologies that eliminate annoying phenomena of tearing, to get diagonal and increasingly higher resolutions.
The new ASUS MG models are three: MG248Q, MG28UQ and MG24UQ. The first notable feature is the introduction of new panels with UHD 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) in two of the three monitors. It is, therefore, of the first units belonging to ASUS MG line to adopt this resolution.
The model from the wider diagonal is the MG28UQ: among the strong points, as well as the resolution 4K UHD is also on 1ms response time (gray-to-gray). MG24UQ repeats the same resolution but comes with a smaller diagonal of 24 "IPS (in the big brother type TN) and 4ms response time (gray-to-gray).
Both support the VESA Adaptive Sync technology that eliminates the phenomena of tearing and stuttering frame, synchronizing the refresh rate of the monitor with the frame rate produced by video card. Adaptive Sync technology can be used in conjunction with an AMD GPU via DisplayPort.
The third group of the model, ASUS MG248Q, supports Adaptive Sync. E 'equipped with a panel 24 "FullHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) of TN type, it supports the refresh rate of 144 Hz, while the response time shown is equal to 1 ms (gray-to-gray).
traits common to all models include support Asus DisplayWidget application, which allows you to act on all the operating parameters without the need to use the OSD or the navigation keys, while not lacking functionality appreciated by gamers, such as displaying a counter of frames per second.
MG248Q, MG28UQ and MG24UQ offering extensive possibilities for tilt adjustment, rotation and height, all can be wall mounted using a support with VESA standards, and MG24UQ MG28UQ provide a quick release system which allows you to quickly disconnect the display from the pedestal.
Pricing and Availability
ASUS MG28UQ (28 ") and MG24UQ (24") are sold at a recommended price of 691 Euros and 479 Euros. ASUS MG248Q is available at a price of 359 Euros. ASUS has chosen as partners for the distribution of the first two Amazon models, while the third is available at sales points Next.
