Danny Coster, between members of the longer course of Apple's design team, has left the Cupertino company to become part of GoPro, as Vice President of Design. Coster boasts having started his militancy at Apple in 1993 to service seniority in Apple almost equal to that of Jony Ive,.
Although the exact details of the composition of the group that Apple takes care of the design are not known, and the various roles of the designers are maintained under strict confidentiality, Coster would have contributed to the design of some of the most significant projects in the recent history of Apple.
Coster, along with Ive, he worked on the design of the iconic iMac "Bondi Blue", the system marks the beginning of the return of Steve Jobs at Apple in the late '90s. With the same Jobs and Ive also he shares the signing of several patents of Apple.
The defection of Danny Coster is the first reshuffle in the small industrial design group of the Cupertino company since Ive has delegated the ordinary and daily management activities of the group to another veteran, Richard Howarth.
During a speech to students at a New Zealand school Coster had expressed last month a desire to spend more time to cure affected family members and friends, as indicating the pressure of working for a company like Apple can sometimes be unbearable: "Sometimes it seems rather daunting from as the pressure of things may be too large ".
In the official GoPro, it reads: "Coster will affect all aspects of the design in his new role at GoPro, including hardware, software and services, offering his strategic vision and expertise to maximize the GoPro user experience."
