During the Christmas holidays of that year, Lizard Squad also attacked the network services of the Xbox and PlayStation, putting them offline for one and five days, respectively.

Cyber attacks like the one on Battle.net can result in significant monetary damages to proprietary companies of online services. This is why the gaming is one of the privileged sectors by hackers, as we have seen in this study. It is therefore likely that the FBI decides to move to shed light also on the attack again, as happened in 2014.

The DDoS attack is doing some connection problems and lag certain users to Battle.net. As well as through social, Blizzard maintains updated its users also via the launcher of the games and its official forum.
